Cherry and White Ale
Victory Brewing Company and Temple University’s Alumni Relations Board collaborated to produce a limited release beer targeted at Temple University Alumni. Cherry & White Ale was released at Homecoming 2019 and is exclusively served at Alumni owned bars and restaurants. Our goal as a class was to create a tap sticker that would speak not only for the beer but for Temple University and their alumni as well.

My process began with researching Victory and their aesthetic along with Temple University’s history and symbols. I then developed three sketches based on what I felt spoke to Temple University alumni and Victory's new beer. After selecting my design I continued the development of the tap sticker through critiques with my class, Bill Covaleski, a founder of Victory Brewing Company, and Temple Alumni Relations Board members.
My final tap sticker featured the Temple University skyline with diamonds that represent each school at Temple, a soaring owl, and the bell tower. My design seeks to bring a feeling of nostalgia and pride to the Temple Alumni community.
This project was very memorable for me. As a lover of breweries and the communities they foster, and as a student at Temple University, I loved the idea of taking these two very social groups and creating one overall feeling.
This was my first time ever working face to face with an actual client that had its challenges but was so rewarding. Although my work wasn’t chosen as the final design, working with Victory Brewing Company and having this experience will be unforgettable and cherished.
